Since the 1980s, we have gathered architects, designers and industry professionals together for Common Bond, formerly Heritage Ball, a fundraising gala that attracts hundreds of guests.

The event, while honoring the world-renowned architectural history of New York City, serves as the single largest funding source for the Center for Architecture, allowing it to fulfill its mission to educate the public about the value of architecture and design alongside its partner, AIA New York. Besides offering a unique opportunity for professional networking, the event provides critical funding for the exhibitions, programs, scholarships and activities of the Center for Architecture, including our wonderful K-12 education programs.

As you may recall, in 2020 we called upon our community to help us find a new name for our fall gala, one that aligns with the architecture visionaries that the event brings together and signifies our hope and belief in a more just and equitable future. It is our pleasure to invite you to Common Bond: The Center for Architecture Gala. In lieu of awards, we are thrilled to recognize four outstanding students with a scholarship to further the studies in architecture.
