October 2023 marked the 20-year anniversary of the Center for Architecture’s opening at 536 LaGuardia Place in Greenwich Village. In that time, the Center for Architecture helped AIA New York grow from just over 3,000 members to over 5,000, allowing us to reach hundreds of thousands of New Yorkers and families, and presented almost 240 exhibitions to the public. From Archtober, exhibitions, and education, to public lectures, tours, and more, the Center for Architecture has built a remarkable public-facing legacy in our city. We look forward to advancing and influencing the dialogue about architecture’s place in our society with the public, design enthusiasts, architects, and designers.
In celebration of 20 years of excellence, the Anniversary Fund will support new and ambitious programs at the Center for Architecture. We want to broaden and deepen our legacy by reaching more communities, creating meaningful partnerships with people and groups who have not always felt heard and included in architecture and design, and by bringing together both people who create architecture and those who experience architecture.
We hope you will consider investing in the future of the Center for Architecture by contributing. Your support is an investment in the future of this remarkable institution that we have built together since 2003. We thank you for being part of it!
