Annual Education Fund

Through our K-12 programming, our goal is to foster an understanding and appreciation for architecture, inspiring the next generation of design leaders. Our hands-on programs empower students to develop critical skills and introduce them to essential art, engineering, math, and science concepts.

Your support last school year enabled us to reach roughly 5,000 students and adults through our programs, and allowed us to achieve remarkable milestones:

• Provide over $40K in scholarships and financial aid to students and schools in need;

• Lead Learning By Design:NY residencies in 29 New York City public schools, with a significant portion being low-income Title I schools that require specialized instructional support and multi-language learning;

• Celebrate NYC’s rich architectural history through guided neighborhood walks, sketching workshops, model-building, and more, exploring topics such as the Historic NYC buildings, New Amsterdam, and Indigenous Architecture;
• Support high school students in their architecture careers by teaching fundamental skills and design concepts—such as sketching, drafting, and hand model building—as well as guiding them in portfolio development and facilitating meaningful conversations with professionals through weekend Teen Workshops;
  
• Engage intergenerational audiences with architecture and design through monthly Family Programs featuring hands-on art and model-building activities, gallery tours, and design challenges;
• Place 38 teens, representing 22 high schools, in 17 architecture and design firms around NYC through our career exploration program Discover Architecture;
• Nurture the next generation of architects through our Green Architecture program, covering topics such as Coastal Resiliency and Design and Ecology. 
  

In the upcoming 2025/2026 school year, we are eager to keep these valuable learning opportunities accessible to all children and expand our impact. This is where we need your support! Your generous donations empower our team to develop new curricula across our programs, while providing necessary funding for our student scholarships and discounted partnerships with low-income Title 1 schools.
