On October 18, 2025, a crisp fall day brought more than 500 teens, family members, and school guidance counselors to the Center for Architecture for the 27th Annual Architecture and Design College Fair. This free event offers teens the chance to meet representatives from colleges and universities across the United States and abroad, learn about academic programs, receive guidance on the application process, and get their questions answered.
In addition to individual teens and families, many students attended with friends or as part of a group organized by a dedicated teacher or school guidance counselor, creating a sense of community and shared excitement about exploring future paths in architecture and design. This collective energy set the tone for meaningful conversations with college and university representatives, who were eager to guide and inspire the next generation of designers and architects.
In addition to school representatives, recipients of the Walter A. Hunt, Jr. Scholarship—administered by AIA New York to support New York City public high school students pursuing studies in architecture—were on hand to speak with attendees and share insights about the scholarship and application process.
Many representatives noted that the Center for Architecture’s Architecture and Design College Fair is among their favorite events, citing the enthusiasm, curiosity, and thoughtful questions that local teens bring each year.
