This Archtober, share your firm’s New York City-based works with architecture enthusiasts! Archtober is accepting nominations for projects to be included in New York City’s month-long festival of architecture and design. Each day in October 2017, we will spotlight a Building of the Day as a noon-time, architect-led tour. In addition to publication in the Archtober print guide and website, the tour will be featured on the Archtober blog.

Building of the Day tours are the centerpiece of Archtober. With the goal of making exemplary architecture and the work of architects more accessible to the general public, the lunchtime tours, led by project architects, generate international publicity and provide a platform for engagement in important issues in the New York City built environment.

Previous Buildings of the Day include The Lowline (raad studio); the World Trade Center Transportation Hub (Downtown Design Partnership: STV, AECOM, and Santiago Calatrava), Sunset Park Material Recovery Facility (Selldorf Architects), Barclays Center (SHoP Architects), 40 Bond (Herzog and de Meuron), and Manhattan Districts 1/2/5 Garage and Salt Shed (Dattner Architects and WXY architecture + urban design).

Please complete and send the submission form. The building can be located in any of the five boroughs of New York City and does not need to be a recently completed project. The building should be nominated by the architect, who is responsible for clearing the copyrights of the images submitted. The deadline is June 2, 2017. Building of the Day sites will be announced this summer.

Please email submissions to archtober@aiany.org with the subject line “Building of the Day Submission.”
