This Archtober, share your firm’s New York City-based works with architecture enthusiasts! Archtober is accepting nominations for projects to be included in New York City’s month-long festival of architecture and design.

Building of the Day tours are the centerpiece of Archtober. With the goal of making exemplary architecture and the work of architects more accessible to the general public, the lunchtime tours, led by project architects, generate international publicity and provide a platform for engagement in important issues in the New York City built environment.

Previous Buildings of the Day include the Little Island (Heatherwick Studio, Standard Architects, MNLA), Summit One Vanderbilt (Snøhetta, KPF), Dia Chelsea (Architecture Research Office), the Weeksville Heritage Center (Caples Jefferson), and the the TWA Hotel (Eero Saarinen, Beyer Blinder Belle, and Lubrano Ciavarra Architects),

If you are interested in participating in our tours, please complete and send the submission form. Buildings and sites can be located in any of the five boroughs of New York City and does not need to be a recently completed project. Projects should be nominated by the architect, who is responsible for clearing the copyrights of the submitted images and for acting as a liaison between Archtober staff and the project’s client. The deadline is Friday, May 13, 2021. Building of the Day sites will be announced this summer.

Please email submissions to archtober@aiany.org with the subject line “Building of the Day Submission.”
