Archtober 2017 is coming! The Center for Architecture and 71 partner organizations will be bringing you a jam-packed month of architecture and design activities. From weekend walking tours to lectures and symposia, children’s programs, and exhibitions, Archtober has something for everyone!

During the month of October, a host of events will take place throughout the city’s five boroughs. This year, Archtober’s popular Building of the Day series will highlight historic icons like the Cathedral Church of Saint John the Divine and Paul Rudolph’s Modulightor Building, as well as new favorites like New Lab in the Brooklyn Navy Yard and Columbia University’s Renzo Piano-designed Lenfest Center for the Arts.

Archtober 2017 will also introduce a new series called Workplace Wednesdays, which will invite the public into the offices of a different architecture firm each Wednesday during the month. Firms include Rockwell Group, SHoP Architects, and Studio Libeskind.

And don’t miss out on the Center for Architecture’s festive, architecture-themed events with a twist! Joining again from London on October 3 is the Great Architectural Bake Off, presented in collaboration with WATG and Wimberly Interiors. On October 12, industry experts will try to stump the audience with questions about architecture, design, and NYC’s built environment at the first annual Archtober Trivia Night! We’ll end the month with Pumpkitecture, the architectural pumpkin carving competition returns on October 27. 20 firms will go gourd to gourd to compete to win the prized Pritzkerpumpkin.

Start planning now! Buildings of the Day are open for registration but selling out fast! Visit the Archtober website for a full line-up of events.
