The Center for Architecture in conjunction with the American Institute of Architects New York is pleased to offer career discovery opportunities for high school students interested in learning more about the field of architecture.

The Center for Architecture’s Discover Architecture career exploration program will be held virtually in winter 2022 as a free, one-day conference on Friday, February 25 from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM ET. The program will be a series of 50-minute presentations and workshop sessions led by architecture professionals. Sessions are designed to help high school students get a better sense of what it’s like to be an architect and will explore topics such as:

  • Collaborative process: How architects, clients, consultants, and contractors work together
  • Current design projects: Case studies illuminating how architects work through a design project from start to finish
  • Job site tours and more!
