The Center for Architecture in conjunction with the American Institute of Architects New York is pleased to offer career discovery opportunities for high school students interested in learning more about the field of architecture.
Applications for the 2024 Discover Architecture program will be available in November.
The 2024 Discover Architecture program will be offered during the public school mid-winter break: Tuesday, February 20 to Friday, February 23, from 10am–3pm daily. Students spend Tuesday through Thursday at a local architecture firm gaining valuable, first-hand experience, then have a chance to test out their own design ideas at a hands-on design workshop and concluding event at the Center for Architecture on Friday.
Eligible students must be in their sophomore or junior year of high school in New York City. We are looking for students who are interested in and/or who would most benefit from this opportunity. While no prior experience is necessary, an interest in architecture or art is a plus.
