About the Panelists:
Jennifer I. Rodríguez is the President and CEO of the Greater Philadelphia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (GPHCC). Prior to joining GPHCC, she was appointed by Mayor Michael A. Nutter as the Executive Director of the Mayor’s Office of Immigrant and Multicultural Affairs. In this capacity, Ms. Rodríguez oversaw the implementation of policies and programs that have placed Philadelphia among the most welcoming cities in the nation.
Damaris Feliciano joined the City of Philadelphia in 2016 with over seventeen years of experience working in the nonprofit sector. As the Director of Community Services and Strategic Initiatives, she passionately leads the Community Services team in the Managing Director’s Office and is responsible for establishing and supporting relationships between the community, nongovernment agencies, and the City of Philadelphia.
Mrs. Feliciano is also the lead of Mission Area 7: Mobilizing the community for the Philadelphia Resilience Project, a multi-pronged initiative established by Mayor Kenney to address the opioid epidemic. And In this role, she is charged with engaging the public and nongovernment agencies, recruiting volunteers, and raising funds to support the Philadelphia Resilience Projects’ goals and mission. Damaris holds a bachelor and master’s in business administration from Arcadia University.
Erick Martinez is a bilingual professional with over 10 years in large corporate experience and 5 years of business development experience. His experience has allowed him to develop a strong business accounting acumen, take on leadership roles to collaborate with other teams and foster client relationships. Managing financial needs for mature businesses in the $5-100 million revenue range has allowed him to understand critical strategy components of industries like manufacturing, service, IT, retail, pharmaceutical manufacturing, marketing, construction, not for profit, e-commerce, among others. Working with business owners and entrepreneurs from diverse backgrounds has always encouraged and motivated him to continue to learn more.
