Melissa Billig has an active transactional and litigation practice with a specialization in design and construction law. She provides sophisticated legal, risk, and business counsel to real estate owners, developers, and design and construction professionals in connection with project agreements, contract disputes, defective construction, and adjacent property issues. Billig has represented clients in various development projects, including the Javits Convention Center renovation, the Governors Island Park renovation, the Shed (Hudson Yards), the World Trade Center Disaster Site, and condominium construction.

Billig is an active member of the Board of Directors for the Center for Architecture and is involved in various committees including the Development and Marketing committees. She is admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York; the United States District Court, District of New Jersey and the New York and New Jersey State Bars.
