The film Changing Lanes (2025) documents the lengthy contested process for neighborhood residents, architect-activists, and others struggling over the redesign of McGuinness Boulevard in Brooklyn. The dedication of many individuals to change the mindset of a city designed for the primacy of car and truck traffic and toward a city with safer streets designed for sharing the roadways and encouraging broader transportation choice is a primary focus of the film. The event will conclude with a moderated panel discussion afterwards that will include the film director and an architect-activist featured in the film.
