The AIANY Design for Risk and Reconstruction Committee’s first event of 2017 will launch a series of programs, events, workshops, and exhibits on the theme of water. Placed within the context of climate change, the series will focus on issues surrounding water resources and mitigation at regional, national, and global levels. The series will bring together experts from a wide array of fields to discuss cultural and spiritual concepts, political realities, and visionary solutions.
Everything Water 1.0: A Precious Element provides the introduction and overview to this year-long series of events. Panelists are architects, planners, landscape architects, artists, and ecological innovators who will explore society’s relationship to water as a precious resource, and discuss water conservation, upcycling, resilient water catchment, and envelope solutions.
