Why Design? is the Center for Architecture Learning and Engagement Department’s exhibition of K-12 student design work. This year focuses on Justice by Design, an architectural and civic design program for teens hosted by the Queens Public Library (QPL) in partnership with the Center for Architecture. The program allows students to explore urban planning, architecture, and design while reimagining their neighborhood with a focus on equity, justice, and community empowerment.
