The Center for Architecture in conjunction with the American Institute of Architects New York is pleased to offer a new program for current New York City high school students interested in learning more about the field of architecture. Selected participants will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience and on-site learning at a local architecture firm.

The Discover Architecture! program will be held during the NYC public school mid-winter break, and selected students will attend sessions from 10am-3pm, Tuesday, February 19th through Friday, February 22nd. A mandatory orientation will be held on Monday, February 11th from 4:30–5:30pm.

Eligible students must be in their sophomore or junior year of high school in New York City. We are looking for students who are most interested and/ or who would most benefit from this opportunity. While no prior experience is necessary, an interest in architecture or art is a plus.

Applications must be submitted via email to by 11:59pm on Monday, December 10. Students accepted into the program will be notified in late December.
